The Mar Vista Family Center Parent Participation Preschool Program provides 34 low-income families with full-day care. The program provides high quality school readiness services, and strengthens families' social and economic infrastructures. In lieu of paying fees, parents volunteer weekly as assistant teachers.
The Atlas Family Foundation provides funding for the Early Childhood Development Program. The program addresses the needs that exist for children who come from a disadvantaged background to have access to structured early childhood programs, and for their parents to gain the knowledge of how to participate in their children's social, emotional and cognitive growth and learning.
